Jay Madsen, Chief Executive Officer

In 2012, Jay joined Lecorpio to serve as the chief executive. Prior to joining Lecorpio, Jay was the managing partner of Accretia Capital, a private investment firm formed by leading entrepreneurs, operators and investors to grow businesses through active management. Prior to Accretia, Jay worked in Private Equity at 3i plc, a global private equity firm with more than $21 billion in assets. Before 3i, he was a growth equity investor at Summit Partners where he focused on technology and healthcare businesses. Jay also worked in investment banking at Banc of America Securities. He started his career at IBM in various software development roles. Jay received his master’s in business administration from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor’s degree with honors in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

William Soward, Chief Operating Officer

As chief operating officer, Bill is responsible for the entire customer fulfillment process at Lecorpio, including sales, implementation, support and training. He joined Lecorpio in 2012, bringing more than 20 years of experience in managing fast growth technology companies. Most recently, Bill was CEO at Adaptive Planning, an industry-leading SaaS company which was recognized as #1 in customer satisfaction by Gartner. He was also part of the executive teams at successful NASDAQ companies such as S1 and Edify. Earlier in his career, Bill worked at ROLM/Siemens A. G. and IBM Corporation. Bill received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Sunny McRae, Chief Technology Officer

Sunny joined Lecorpio in 2013 to oversee Engineering and Hosting Operations. Sunny is a founder of two successful venture capital funded companies and brings more than 30 years of experience in delivering commercially successful mission critical software solutions. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Senior VP at JPMorgan Chase Treasury Services. He co-founded Xign in 2000 (acquired by Chase), serving as its VP of Engineering/CTO. Before Xign, Sunny co-founded Edify (public in 1997) where he was Head of Engineering. Prior to Edify, Sunny has held various engineering leadership positions at ROLM/Siemens A. G., and IBM Corporation. Sunny received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He is a holder of twelve US patents.

Kurt Wedel, Vice President, Global Sales

Kurt Wedel oversees Lecorpio’s global sales and operations. He brings more than 25 years of global sales leadership and operational experience to the Lecorpio team. Prior to joining Lecorpio, he served as the Vice President of Sales and Operations at First to File, Inc., where he built the sales and service organization, as well as the customer base, to the point where the company was acquired by CPA Global. Before CPA Global, Wedel held the role of Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development at MarkMonitor, where he was the first head of sales, and was instrumental in building the company into the global IP and brand protection leader. He also served in senior sales and marketing roles at Attributor, RealNames, Netscape, Oracle and Sybase. Kurt received his undergraduate degree from Vassar College and his masters from J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Doug Luftman, Chief Innovation Officer and General Counsel

Douglas Luftman is Lecorpio’s Chief Innovation Officer and General Counsel. He leverages his thorough understanding of issues facing in-house IP attorneys, their outside counsel and other legal service providers to drive Lecorpio’s corporate and product strategy. He also works in collaboration with the company’s product, client services, marketing, and sales teams. Most recently, Doug was Vice President of Innovation Services and Chief Intellectual Property Counsel for NetApp, Inc., where he was responsible for the company’s nationally recognized worldwide intellectual property program. Prior to that Doug held similar roles at CBS Corporation and Palm, Inc. Over the years, Doug also has been globally recognized for his personal accomplishments as an innovative and strategic executive. Doug earned his J.D. with honors from The George Washington University School of Law in Washington, DC and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA in Los Angeles, CA.

Mark Bullard, Vice President, Strategy and Business Development

Mark joined Lecorpio’s team as Vice President of Product Management in 2014. His role has since evolved into a focus on strategic planning and business development. He works with the executive team to define and implement strategic initiatives while investigating opportunities for Lecorpio to extend its reach and impact. Prior to Lecorpio, Mark was Vice President of Sales for Anaqua. Previously, as a Product Manager for the Legal and Corporate Affairs group at Microsoft, he led multiple large-scale legal software and process improvement projects. Mark received his bachelor’s from Cornell University.

Elisa Cooper, Vice President of Marketing

Bringing with her 20 years of marketing experience, Elisa Cooper joined Lecorpio in 2015 to lead the organization’s marketing strategy and execution. She is responsible for product marketing, PR, demand generation and communications. Having served in various marketing and product management roles at MarkMonitor for over a dozen years, Elisa brings extensive experience in IP, trademarks and domains. Elisa completed her undergraduate degree and graduate work in Communication Studies at San Jose State University.

Jonathan Tillotson, Director of Finance

As a Certified Public Accountant, Jonathan brings more than eight years of financial accounting expertise to Lecorpio, having served both small‐cap publicly traded companies and large privately held businesses. Prior to joining Lecorpio in 2012, Jonathan founded Executive Outcome, a financial consulting company. Previously, he worked as an audit manager for several regional public accounting firms. Jonathan earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Flagler College in Florida, graduating cum laude.
